Our behaviors create a spiritual fragrance. Whether we are living in a reality that aligns with righteousness or if we are plagued with behaviors that spiritually defile us, what we do creates a fragrance which not only emanates to God, but it permeates to the people around us. Our lives become that perfume which is either pleasing or pungent.
Brokenness creates a fragrance. The motives behind our actions release a fragrance to God. A life of sacrifice releases a sweet, satisfying aroma which indicates we are carrying the power of Christ himself in us. The knowledge of Christ has a fragrance. To the people around us, we have a fragrance.
Our behavior affect our fragrance but ultimately, the sweet fragrance of believers consists in their conformity and resemblance to Jesus Christ.
